The Blank Paper

The blank paper mocks me
telling me "you won't amount
to anything important
until you fill me up"
And though words
may flow from
mind to hand to paper
I can write a lot
while saying
nothing at all
and wonderful feeling
that comes from
filling up the paper
is only a fake
SUBSTITUTE
for truly writing
